Pastor Sergey Demidovich arrived from Russia

"In the last days, God is in a special way opening doors in Russia by using its key people, who are serving with anointment. It is people like Alexander Semchenko or Bishop Sergey Ryahovskiy, who influence a lot of churches. During my last journey, when I served at Ryahovskiy's church, the Lord touched his heart and he felt called to maximally support the project of adoption, alliance "Russia without orphans", which is now lead by Ivan Iklyushin. Then Sergey Vasilievich told me:"Any church, where you feel the Lord is drawing you to serve, just tell me and I will help you to get there".

And that's what he did: on his recommendation I went to a church in Saint Petersburg, where Dmitry Shatrov is a pastor. When I served there, the Lord touched their hearts and they feel the responsibility and possibility to serve orphans in Russia. Then I travelled on to the Church of God in Yaroslavl, where Andrey Dirienko is a pastor. I had already visited this church 1,5 year ago, and now could see the results: a lot of families had taken children into foster care. When we held a meeting for the people, who took in children, we saw that during this short time already 20 children had been adopted.

This special ministry in the church is lead by one of the pastors, Alexander, and he said that this was only the beginning: people became very animated and were inspired by my visit to farther take in foster children.

Next I travelled to Krasnodar, to the Exodus church. In Yaroslavl I became acquainted with the leader of the Exodus movement, Bishop Eduard, who invited me on recommendation of Ryahovskiy. When I served in Krasnodar, there was a testimony: people in this church told me, that they had felt something in the air, a vision of adoption that wasn't really understandable to them yet. And then my arrival made it totally clear, that it is right and important to adopt children, the last doubts crumbled and a few persons literally made a decision to adopt children.

I believe that this is only the beginning of our work in the south of Russia and we now expect a journey to Rostov, where the Exodus movement has it's main church, and we hope that the Lord will open their hearts.

I believe that the next year in Russia will be a crucial one, when a great number of churches will take on responsibility for orphans and will become instruments in God's hands. All the pre-conditions for it are there: the churches are opening up for this vision all by themselves and I feel that God Himself is giving us tail wind.

We are planning many events, including the international day of prayer for orphans on November 6th that we are actively participating in. On this day, we are planning to interview the key religious leaders of Russia and we will put the comments of bishops and pastors on live ether that evening on TBN. I hope that our prayer and the appeal of this program will be an additional motivation for people to stand up and decide to act upon, what the Lord is already telling their heart to do".
